  • 46 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 cup fresh apple cider
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme (or 1 teaspoon dried thyme)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together apple cider, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and thyme until combined.
  3. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken thighs skin-side down for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
