  • 3 cups tart apples, peeled and sliced (e.g., Granny Smith)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. 1. For the dough: In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Gradually add ice water until dough forms. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for at least one hour.
  2. 2. For the filling: Toss sliced apples with lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar in another bowl.
