  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (1.5 lbs)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, minced garlic, garam masala, cumin, coriander, chili powder, and salt. Add chicken and marinate for at least one hour.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Sauté onions until translucent. Add garlic; cook until fragrant.
  3. Add marinated chicken to skillet and brown for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in crushed tomatoes and remaining spices; simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat to low; stir in heavy cream and simmer for an additional 5 minutes until thickened.
  6. Serve over basmati rice or with naan.
