Scale
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Stir in granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined.
  3. Remove from heat, let cool slightly, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition along with the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together cocoa powder and flour. Gradually fold into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan, drizzle half of the caramel sauce over it, then pour the remaining batter on top. Swirl with knife or skewer to create patterns.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs. Allow to cool completely before slicing.
