- 3 lbs Russet or Yukon Gold potatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese blend
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Wash and peel the potatoes, then slice them into thin rounds (about 1/8 inch thick).
- In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Layer half of the potato slices in the baking dish. Pour half of the cream mixture over them followed by half of the cheese blend. Repeat layers.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes or until fork-tender.
- Remove foil and broil for another 5-10 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
