Description

  • 3 lbs Russet or Yukon Gold potatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese blend
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Wash and peel the potatoes, then slice them into thin rounds (about 1/8 inch thick).
  3. In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Layer half of the potato slices in the baking dish. Pour half of the cream mixture over them followed by half of the cheese blend. Repeat layers.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes or until fork-tender.
  6. Remove foil and broil for another 5-10 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
