Description

Chicken Normandy is a classic French dish that perfectly blends tender chicken with a rich, creamy sauce infused with apples and a hint of brandy.   • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 medium Fuji or Honeycrisp apples, sliced
  • 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brandy or white wine
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. 2. Spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray and season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. 3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté minced garlic and chopped onions until fragrant.
  4. 4. Add sliced apples to the skillet and cook until slightly caramelized.
  5. 5. In a bowl, mix heavy cream, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and brandy or wine. Pour over chicken in the baking dish.
  6. 6. Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). Serve drizzled with sauce.
