  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • For Frosting: 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 46 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Scoop dough onto prepared sheets about two inches apart and bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.
  6. Let cookies cool for five minutes before transferring to wire racks. Once cool, mix powdered sugar with milk for frosting and decorate as desired.
