  • 12 no-boil lasagna noodles
  • 1 ½ cups whole-milk ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups shredded fresh mozzarella cheese
  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cups marinara sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 large eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix ricotta, eggs, half of the Parmesan, salt, pepper, and basil until creamy.
  3. Spread a layer of marinara sauce in the baking dish. Place three noodles on top. Add half the ricotta mixture, more marinara, and a layer of mozzarella.
  4. Repeat the layering process: noodles, ricotta, marinara, mozzarella. Finish with noodles topped with remaining sauce and mozzarella.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until golden brown. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
