  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  4. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine light brown sugar and sweetened condensed milk. Stir constantly until it begins to boil; continue stirring for about five minutes until thickened.
  5. Pour the warm caramel over the cooled shortbread base and spread evenly. Bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  6. Melt chocolate chips in increments in a microwave-safe bowl, then drizzle over the caramel layer once cooled slightly.
