  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup French fried onions
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly spray a 9×13 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 3 minutes, then transfer them to ice water.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Fold the blanched green beans into the creamy mixture until coated.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle half of the French fried onions on top.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes; remove from the oven, add remaining onions, and bake for an additional 5 minutes until golden brown.
