Description

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt; bring to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in flour until smooth.
  3. Allow the dough to cool slightly before adding eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.
  4. Pipe heart shapes onto prepared baking sheets using a piping bag.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown; allow to cool completely.
  6. For the filling, whisk together sugar and cocoa in a saucepan over low heat; gradually add milk until thickened. Stir in vanilla extract.
  7. Once cooled, slice open each pastry and fill with chocolate custard using a piping bag.
  8. For the ganache, heat cream and pour over dark chocolate chips until melted and smooth; drizzle over filled eclairs.
