- 1 tsp salt

- Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover it, and let rise in a warm area until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Roll out risen dough to about half an inch thick and cut into circles using a cutter.
- Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry doughnuts for about 1 minute per side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
