  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup whole milk, warm
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and active dry yeast. Let sit until frothy.
  2. Mix in flour and salt, then cut in cold butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5–7 minutes, then place it in a greased bowl. Cover and let rise until doubled (about 1 hour).
  4. Roll out dough into a rectangle about ½ inch thick and cut into triangles.
  5. Spread honey at the base of each triangle and roll tightly from base to tip.
  6. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake croissants on parchment-lined sheets for 15–20 minutes until golden brown. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
