  • 4 cups water
  • 4 black tea bags
  • 2 ripe peaches, sliced
  • 10 fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup sugar (or honey, to taste)

Instructions

  1. Boil 4 cups of water in a medium saucepan. Remove from heat and steep 4 black tea bags for 5 minutes.
  2. While steeping, wash and slice the peaches into wedges.
  3. In a large pitcher, muddle the basil leaves gently to release their oils.
  4. Remove tea bags and pour brewed tea over the muddled basil in the pitcher. Add sliced peaches and stir well.
  5. Sweeten with sugar or honey, adjusting to taste.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving over ice.
