  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil a large pot of salted water, add fettuccine, and cook until al dente (about 10 minutes). Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Prepare the Shrimp: In a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil. Once hot, season shrimp with salt and pepper, cooking for 3-4 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and keep warm.
  3. Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Add heavy cream and simmer gently.
  4. Add Cheese: Whisk in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth, adding reserved pasta water if needed for consistency.
  5. Combine Everything: Toss cooked pasta and shrimp into the sauce until well coated.
  6. Serve: Plate the dish with extra Parmesan cheese and cracked black pepper on top.
