- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- Chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Sauté onions in a skillet over medium heat until translucent (about 4–5 minutes). Add minced garlic for the last minute.
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef, ground pork, sautéed onions, breadcrumbs, eggs, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and half of the ketchup until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf on the prepared baking sheet and brush with the remaining ketchup mixed with bourbon.
- Bake for about 60 minutes or until an internal thermometer reads 160°F (70°C). Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
