  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Sauté onions in a skillet over medium heat until translucent (about 4–5 minutes). Add minced garlic for the last minute.
  3. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, ground pork, sautéed onions, breadcrumbs, eggs, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and half of the ketchup until just combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf on the prepared baking sheet and brush with the remaining ketchup mixed with bourbon.
  5. Bake for about 60 minutes or until an internal thermometer reads 160°F (70°C). Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
