Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 swordfish steaks (1 inch thick)
  • 2 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp lime juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp honey (raw preferred)
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup cilantro leaves, chopped
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together ginger, lime juice, garlic, honey, olive oil, salt, pepper, cilantro, and red pepper flakes until smooth.
  2. Place swordfish in a shallow dish or resealable bag; pour marinade over the fish. Ensure it’s well-coated and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to 2 hours).
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (400°F/200°C) and lightly oil the grates.
  4. Remove swordfish from marinade (discard excess). Grill for 4-5 minutes per side until opaque and easily flakes with a fork.
  5. Garnish with extra lime wedges and cilantro before serving. Enjoy with grilled vegetables or salad.
