Ingredients

For the Cocktail
  • 3 oz Aperol Use chilled for best results.
  • 6 oz Prosecco Use a dry Prosecco for balance.
  • 2 oz Soda Water Use plain soda water, not tonic.
  • 1 slice Orange Fresh orange slice for garnish.
  • Ice cubes Ice Use large ice cubes to slow dilution.

Method

Prepare the Glass
  1. Fill a large wine glass with ice cubes. This will chill the glass and keep the drink cold.
Mix the Ingredients
  1. Pour 3 oz of Aperol over the ice in the glass. Aperol is the base of the drink and provides its characteristic bitter-sweet flavor.
  2. Add 6 oz of chilled Prosecco. This sparkling wine adds effervescence and balances the bitterness of the Aperol.
  3. Top off the drink with 2 oz of soda water. This lightens the drink and adds a refreshing touch.
Garnish and Serve
  1. Stir gently with a stirring spoon to combine the ingredients without losing too much carbonation.
  2. Garnish with a slice of fresh orange on the rim of the glass. This adds a pop of color and enhances the citrus notes.
  3. Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing Aperol Spritz!
