Ingredients

For the Corn
  • 4 ears fresh corn on the cob Husked and cleaned
For the Garlic Butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Melted
  • 3 cloves garlic Minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt To taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper Freshly ground
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley Chopped, for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice Optional, for added flavor

Method

Prepare the Corn
  1. Husk the corn by removing the outer leaves and silk. Rinse the corn under cold water to remove any remaining silk strands.
  2. Soak the corn in cold water for about 10 minutes. This helps to keep the corn moist while grilling.
Make the Garlic Butter
  1. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and lime juice (if using). Stir well to combine.
Grill the Corn
  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C). If using a charcoal grill, ensure the coals are hot and ashy.
  2. Remove the corn from the water and shake off excess moisture. Place the corn directly on the grill grates.
  3. Grill the corn for about 10-15 minutes, turning every 2-3 minutes until the kernels are tender and slightly charred.
  4. During the last few minutes of grilling, brush the corn with the garlic butter using a basting brush.
Serve
  1. Once the corn is grilled to your liking, remove it from the grill using grill tongs.
  2. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and additional salt or pepper if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

For a smoky flavor, you can wrap the corn in aluminum foil with a bit of the garlic butter before grilling. This will steam the corn while infusing it with flavor.
