Method
Prepare the Corn
- Husk the corn by removing the outer leaves and silk. Rinse the corn under cold water to remove any remaining silk strands.
- Soak the corn in cold water for about 10 minutes. This helps to keep the corn moist while grilling.
Make the Garlic Butter
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and lime juice (if using). Stir well to combine.
Grill the Corn
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C). If using a charcoal grill, ensure the coals are hot and ashy.
- Remove the corn from the water and shake off excess moisture. Place the corn directly on the grill grates.
- Grill the corn for about 10-15 minutes, turning every 2-3 minutes until the kernels are tender and slightly charred.
- During the last few minutes of grilling, brush the corn with the garlic butter using a basting brush.
Serve
- Once the corn is grilled to your liking, remove it from the grill using grill tongs.
- Sprinkle with chopped parsley and additional salt or pepper if desired. Serve hot.

Notes
For a smoky flavor, you can wrap the corn in aluminum foil with a bit of the garlic butter before grilling. This will steam the corn while infusing it with flavor.
