Ingredients

For the Naan Base
  • 4 pieces Naan Bread Store-bought or homemade
For the Pizza Sauce
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce Use a good quality sauce for best flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano Adds an Italian flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil Adds an Italian flavor
  • 1 clove Garlic Minced
  • 1 pinch Salt To taste
  • 1 pinch Black Pepper To taste
For the Toppings
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese Shredded
  • 1 cup Bell Peppers Sliced, any color
  • 1 cup Red Onion Thinly sliced
  • 1 cup Cherry Tomatoes Halved
  • 1 cup Fresh Spinach Rinsed and dried
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil For drizzling
  • 1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes Optional, for heat

Method

Prepare the Pizza Sauce
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the tomato sauce, dried oregano, dried basil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine all the ingredients evenly.
  2. Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Set aside.
Preheat the Oven
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). This high temperature will help achieve a crispy naan base.
Assemble the Naan Pizzas
  1. Place a piece of parchment paper on a baking sheet to prevent sticking.
  2. Lay the naan breads flat on the parchment paper.
  3. Spread a generous amount of the prepared pizza sauce over each naan, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Evenly distribute the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.
  5. Add your choice of toppings: bell peppers, red onion, cherry tomatoes, and spinach.
  6. Drizzle a little olive oil over the top for added flavor and moisture.
Bake the Naan Pizzas
  1. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the naan are golden brown.
  2. If you like a crispier crust, you can broil the pizzas for an additional 1-2 minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
Serve
  1. Remove the naan pizzas from the oven and let them cool for a minute.
  2. Slice into wedges and serve hot, optionally garnished with red pepper flakes for added heat.
